Floyd Mayweather Comes Out Of Retirement

Floyd Mayweather is willing to come out of retirement and put his stellar record on the line to fight 28-year-old Conor McGregor. The undefeated boxing champ made the official announcement Saturday (March 11) and made sure to tell McGregor there’s no need to drag on the process, he wants to dance in the ring with the UFC Lightweight Champ by June.

“I don’t want to hear no more excuses about the money [or] about the UFC. Sign the paper with the UFC, so you can fight me in June. Simple and plain. Let’s fight in June,” Mayweather said.

The topic of McGregor has been something Mayweather’s had to address while on his “Undefeated” tour. However, prior to announcing he’s coming out of retirement, Mayweather pointed the blame to the 28-year-old for not giving the fans what they want.

“I don’t know if it’s going to happen. If Conor McGregor really wants the fight to happen, stop blowing smoke up everybody’s ass and sign the paper.”

McGregor however isn’t jumping in the ring with Mayweather for a few pennies on the dollar. The Irishman has demanded a smooth $100 million. Both men are a bit “rusty.” Mayweather hasn’t professionally fought since he retired in 2015, and McGregor since defeating Eddie Alvarez in November. UFC President Dana White has offered them $25 million for the fight but agrees the likelihood of it actually happening is slim to none.
