On an episode of Joe and Jada, Fat Joe suggested that he was humbled by how hard he saw DJ Khaled flexing during his recent interview with Joe La Puma for Complex. “You know I discovered DJ Khaled,” Joe told 42 Dugg, who was a guest on the podcast episode. “His first seven albums is on Terror Squad. … All his success is his, I just gave him the boost and the n***a ran and made number ones and didn't stop. But let me tell you, there's an interview that Khaled just did with Joe LaPuma… Bro.” 42 Dugg confirmed that he saw the interview, during which Khaled showed off his extensive luxury watch collection. 81 watches, 650 a watch, 800 a watch, 450 a watch, 300 a watch. 81 of them,” Joe continued. “Then he go outside, the cars is a half a million, million and a half, half a million. This a n***a I discovered. I'm sitting there looking at the screen. I'm like, this is... this is fucking out of control. I'm with him all the time, every day. One of my best friends on earth. But, Jesus Christ. He didn't even pull out the plane. The plane’s $70 million.” He added that Khaled doesn’t skimp on the outfits, too, and that he wore an outfit valued around $10,000 during the interview. He said that one time he went to visit Khaled, and he was bringing out caviar for breakfast. But the amount of spending once prompted him to pull Khaled aside and check if he was making enough money for how much he was flexing his wealth. “Maybe around COVID and all that, I pull him to the side. I say, ‘Are you sure you got the bag like this?’” Joe said. “He said, ‘Joe, I'm good. I made a million dollars.’ I ran over there so fast to tell him… We sit down in his backyard. He said, ‘Hold up. You know, I just did a Colgate commercial, $5 million in my bathroom, ain’t even leave my house. What you was telling me?’ I was like I felt like a crackhead. I couldn't even tell him I made a million dollars on some shit.” Khaled showed off his insane watch collection, which included the rare Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Openworked “Cactus Jack,” which he gave the nickname, “They Said I Couldn’t Get It, So I Got It.” The watch is valued at approximately $500,000, but he also showed off another watch valued at $460,000.
