Fantasia Barrino Married Herself

There’s nothing like a good dose of self-love.

“American Idol” alum Fantasia Barrino decided to marry herself before marrying her husband, she told Harry Connick Jr. in an interview on Tuesday’s “Harry.”

“I bought a ring and married myself,” the 32-year-old singer said.

Although she eventually found love and married Kendall Taylor in 2015, Barrino said at one point she was “so busy looking for that love” that she was ending up in all the wrong situations.

She explained her decision, saying, “I married myself because I felt like before true love could come, I needed to learn how to love myself again.”

She now has two rings.
