Winos aren’t feeling Beyoncé right now.
Wine lovers, music aficionados and fans of frugality are outraged after Queen Bey poured what is rumored to be a $20,000 of champagne into a hot tub in her new music video for “Feeling Myself.”
The video, a collaboration with Nicki Minaj, shows Beyoncé smirking as she dumps a golden bottle of Armand de Brignac, also known as Ace of Spades, into the pool as she swims.
But the $20,000 price tag is likely a hoax. Bottles of Ace of Spades typically run between $300 and $700, accrording to Shop Wine Direct, an online wine distributor.
The most expensive bottle — a giant six liter bottle of rose that is eight times the size of a normal 750 ml bottle — goes for $10,000.
It’s not clear how the $20,000 rumor started, but it infuriated some of Beyoncé’s fans.
