FACEBOOK HIT LIST LEADS TO THREE TEENS SHOT DEAD IN COLOMBIA!

Three teens whose names appeared on hit list posted on Facebook in a Colombian town have been killed in the past 10 days, officials said.
Two of the teens, ages 16 and 17, were shot dead while riding a motorcycle in Puerto Asis on August 16. The next day, a hit list with 69 names, including those of the two killed, appeared on the social networking site.

The list's authors warned those named to leave town within three days or face death, Volmar Perez Ortiz, a federal law enforcement official, told CNN.

The third killing happened August 20, when a 19-year-old was gunned down. A 16-year-old was hurt in the shooting while chasing the gunmen, Ortiz said.

Officials do not know who is behind the hit list, but say a criminal gang called Los Rastrojos as well as the militant group Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia roam the area.

Initially, police thought the list was a joke, but now teams of cops have descended on the town, police General Jose Leon Riano told Agence France Presse.

Riano said most of the names on the list were teens, and that several of them don't live in Puerto Asis anymore.

Residents have taken to voicing their fears on Twitter.

"Panic in Puerto Asis, Putumayo, because of threats against young people," wrote a user named JuanSepulvedah. "Our youth must be protected."

Police are offering a reward of 5 million pesos ($2,750) for any information on the killings.
