"Basketball Wives" star Evelyn Lozada may be beefing up her defense - in court.
The reality show vixen is accused of illegally receiving more than $500,000 from her former fiancée Antoine Walker, TMZ.com reports.
A trustee claims that Lozada accepted the payment and used it for a down payment on her shoe store - despite knowing Walker was about to declare bankruptcy.
Lozada, who has proven her self a two-sport star after getting engaged to New England Patriots wide receiver Chad Ochocinco, had no idea that the former NBA All-Star was so in debt, a source told the website.
The source also claims that Walker was just trying to help her pay some bills - not evade creditors.
As for the down payment on the shoe store? Sources told TMZ that Lozada just hocked her engagement ring from Walker to pay for it.
Neither Ochocinco or Lozada mentioned the matter on their normally active Twitter accounts on Christmas.
Lozada and Walker broke up in 2009, around the time Walker filed for bankruptcy.
