'Empire' Actor Morocco Omari Arrested For Domestic Violence

"Empire" star Morocco Omari was arrested after reportedly brutalizing a woman this week.

The actor, who portrays Lucious' half-brother on the series, allegedly pushed a 24-year-old unidentified woman to the ground during an argument on Wednesday night, according to TMZ.

Police arrived and discovered the woman with scratches to her neck and chest.

Omari, 41, was arrested and booked for misdemeanor domestic battery, TMZ reports.

The incident occurred in Chicago where the 41-year-old resides.

It is unclear the actor's connection to the woman involved. He was previously married to actress JoNell Kennedy from 2001 to 2006.

In August, Omari was moved to a series regular on the Fox hip-hop drama — where he plays an FBI agent.

His other roles are scarce prior to landing the "Empire" gig. He previously appeared in "Half Past Dead 2," "Momentum" and "Shakedown."

Fellow "Empire" star Terrence Howard has been accused by ex-wives and an ex-girlfriend of domestic violence in the past.

He recently denied those allegations in a lengthy Twitter rant, noting he was physically and verbally abused in his marriage and that there is a double standard when it comes to domestic abuse.
