VP Kamala Harris is holding her rally tonight (Oct. 22) in battleground state of Michigan, and it is set to feature a special guest: Eminem. The rapper, who is a proud Detroit native, will officially appear at the rally but will not perform. Em will introduce former President Barack Obama at the campaign event. Slim Shady’s support of the Democratic Party isn’t much of a surprise; he also endorsed the Joe Biden-Kamala Harris ticket back in 2020 by green-lighting the use of his “Lose Yourself” hit in a campaign ad at the time the legendary 51-year-old has repeatedly expressed his disdain for Harris’ opponent, Donald Trump. In an August 2023 clip, Em accused Trump of “brainwashing” his supporters “into thinking something great is going to happen. Nothing’s happening.” He also went in on the Republican nominee during his 2017 BET Hip Hop Awards freestyle called “The Storm.”
