Eminem’s Father Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr. Dies At 67

Eminem‘s father has died from a heart attack. He was 67.

Marshall Bruce Mathers Jr. passed away earlier this week at home in Fort Wayne, Indiana, TMZ reported. The famed rapper, whose real name is Marshall Bruce Mathers III, didn’t have any relationship with his father, who moved to California after splitting from Eminem’s mother, Debbie, when he was a baby. Debbie and her children settled in Detroit, which inspired Eminem’s film “8 Mile.”

Eminem’s song “Cleanin’ Out My Closet” reflected the ill-will he felt toward his father, whom he’d never met.

“I was a baby, maybe I was just a couple of months / My f—-t father must have had his panties up in a bunch / ‘Cause he split, I wonder if he even kissed me goodbye / No I don’t / On second thought I just f–king wished he would die,” he rapped.

Eminem hasn’t publicly acknowledged his father’s death.
