Eminem is stirring up excitement for the NFL‘s upcoming draft in his hometown of Detroit, Michigan. Shady Records co-founder Paul Rosenberg shared a clip hyping up the annual football event. In it, the D12 rapper and league commissioner Roger Goodell sit side-by-side, albeit with contrasting energy levels. “We’re so fired up this year for the NFL Draft,” Em begins, following which the 65-year-old exclaims: “Live from the D! the veteran MC responds: “You can just say Detroit.” When the businessman corrects himself with the same vigor, Em hilariously asks the staff behind the camera: “Am I being Punk’d?” The 89th annual NFL Draft is scheduled to take place from April 25–27. Following the announcement, the organization began teasing an appearance from the veteran spitter by posting a picture of him and Goodell together, which turned out to be from the ad above. As of now, it is unclear if this is the extent of his involvement with the yearly gathering.
