ELMO SEX ACCUSER GOT PAID $125K TO SAY HE LIED!

Elmo puppeteer Kevin Clash agreed to pay his then-underage sex accuser $125,000 to recant his story, according to TMZ.

Sheldon Stephens came forward this month claiming he had a sexual relationship with “Sesame Street” Muppeteer Kevin Clash, 52, when Stephens was just 16 years old. Clash said they were consenting adults at the time.

On Tuesday, Stephens recanted the underage accusation.

TMZ reported Saturday that Stephens backtracked on his story after being paid $125,000.

Citing legal documents, the report says "Stephens agrees that immediately upon execution of this Agreement, his counsel, Andreozzi & Associates, P.C., shall release the [following] statement ... 'He [Stephens] wants it to be known that his sexual relationship with Mr. Clash was an adult consensual relationship.”

Stephens has had a troubled past.

The 24-year-old was arrested in the Harrisburg, Pa., airport in 2009 on charges of receiving stolen property, The Smoking Gun reported this week.
