Eddie Murphy Releases Reggae Song ‘Red Light’ Featuring Snoop Lion

Eddie Murphy returned to the recording booth to collaborate with none other than Snoop Lion, reports Us Weekly.
The 52-year-old actor’s last hit was 1985’s “Party All the Time,” which was placed on VH1’s list of 100 Greatest One-Hit Wonders.

Now he teams up with Snoop Lion for the reggae/rock song “Red Light.” The link to the song was provided via his official Twitter page Wednesday.

“Listen to Eddie Murphy’s first single #RedLight ft. @SnoopLion,” the message read. “Stay tuned for more info on his upcoming album “9”!”

The “Coming to America” actor will release his fourth solo musical studio recording, which includes the new single with Lion. The song has a slow beat, and the duo sings about police profiling.

Murphy’s lyrics include: “Broken economy, the streets are dire/ Even more than before/ I need some betterness to take me higher/ Feels like I’m gonna blow.”

The actor has been out of the spotlight since his last film, 2012’s “A Thousand Words.” But that could be because he’s turned his focus on recording music.
