Some of the biggest names in hip-hop, rock, and EDM will headline the fifth annual Governor’s Ball Festival.
Drake, The Black Keys and DeadMau5 will top-line the three day event, to be held June 5 to June 7 on Randall’s Island.
Drake’s anointment represents a kind of coast-to-coast festival coup, since he’ll also headline one of the days at Coachella in the California desert in April.
This year’s voluminous line-up boasts EDM star DeadMau5’s first area show in four years, along with the first New York performances for Lana Del Rey, Florence + The Machine and Bjork since 2012.
Other big names set to play include My Morning Jacket, Ryan Adams, Tame Impala, The Decemberists, Conor Oberst, St. Vincent, Sharon Van Etten, Chromeo, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, Charli XCX and, for a touch of whimsy, 'Weird Al' Yankovic.
Strong up and comers include Marina & The Diamonds, Sturgill Simpson, and Death From Above 1979.
This year’s line-up offers no rare reunions, in contrast to 2014’s event, which hosted a come back date for Outkast.
Tickets for 2015 can be purchased now at GOVBALL.COM.
