Drake Releases 'Please Forgive Me' Short Film Inspired By 'Views'

Drake has his own Lemonade now.

“Please Forgive Me,” a short film based on the Canadian rapper’s fourth album “Views,” is packed with action — exploding cars, gunfights and steamy kisses with model Fanny Neguesha.

The “Hotline Bling” artist surprised fans by dropping the 21-minute flick four days ahead of its official Sept. 30 release date on Apple Music.

Drake, 29, co-directed the moody showpiece with Rihanna’s longtime music video collaborator Anthony Mandler filmed primarily in the Soweto township in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The foreboding plot told in “Please Forgive Me” finds the protagonist entertaining a dangerous get-rich scheme with his girlfriend portrayed by Neguesha, the Belgian beauty.

Her character is offered $1 million to have sex with a mysterious man.

Neguesha teased the video on Instagram by showing off the cheetah she handled while filming.

Fans who pounced on the video moments after its release on Apple Music were quick to judge the film for lacking Drake’s suspected lady crush, Rihanna.

Drake filmed “Please Forgive Me” during a secretive week-long visit to South Africa in June. He adopted a South African accent for the performance inspired by his anticipated album “Views,” which was released in April and has already sold more than 1.3 million copies.

During Drake’s trip to Johannesburg, throngs of fans flanked the former child actor during his visit to the Nelson Mandela Foundation headquarters where he shared an inspiring speech to admirers.

“I want to encourage you to do everything you can to make your future here as bright as you possibly can,” Drake said, as reported by the Times Live newspaper.

Drake’s second short film also stars Jamaican DJ Popcaan, singer Kyla Reid — who appeared in Drake’s “One Dance” music video — and actor Soni Chidiebere.

The credits also pay tribute to the Soweto Kliptown Youth Foundation, whose volunteers helped in the making of “Please Forgive Me.”
