Drake Might Have His First No. 1 Single With “Hotline Bling”

Drake has never scored a No. 1 single on the Hot 100 chart as a lead artist — the rapper has amassed a record-setting 17 No. 1 singles on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay tally and a whopping 100 overall Hot 100 hits, but only Rihanna's "What's My Name?" (featuring Drake) has ever slid into the No. 1 spot. That might change next week, however, as “Hotline Bling” inches ever closer to the chart peak.

On this week’s Hot 100 chart, Drake’s latest single moves 3-2, swapping places with Justin Bieber’s “What Do You Mean?” (which became the Biebs’ first Hot 100 No. 1 hit last month) but still looking up at The Weeknd’s “The Hills.”

As Billboard points out, “The Hills” is losing momentum in the No. 1 spot, while “Hotline Bling” is still gaining listeners.
