Drake channels a whole bevy of A-listers for his innovative new video.
The rapper debuted the first video from his latest release “If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late,” in which he portrays some of the biggest names in pop culture, ranging from Oprah to Kanye West.
In the clip, Drake impersonates celebs from some of their most memorable career moments. Drake recreates Oprah’s infamous interview with Tom Cruise,
Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” video,”
Justin Bieber’s Calvin Klein ads
and West’s “Bound 2” video.
The “Started From the Bottom” rapper also channels President Obama
as well as notable sports figures including LeBron James,
And Floyd Mayweather.
“It’s shocking, it’s beautiful, it’s a lot of things,” Drake told Beats 1 host Zane Lowe on Friday when introducing the “Energy” music video.
Besides premiering the clip, Drake also revealed that he would be hosting his own program on Beats 1 Radio.
Drake’s Beats 1 show will debut Saturday at 6 p.m. EST.
