Drake showed off the fresh ink of his longtime friend's head — which appears on the rapper's left tricep — when he wore a sleeveless jersey during a performance at a nightclub early Monday morning.
The rapper then shared an image that shows the tattoo to Instagram later that day.
Drake, 30, got his big break in the hip hop industry when Lil Wayne added him to his record label, Young Money, in 2009.
The two stars have collaborated on a bevy of songs ever since, including megahits like "Forever," "Right Above It" and "The Motto." They teamed up with another Young Money powerhouse, Nicki Minaj, for the song "No Frauds" in April.
The Lil Wayne ink is the latest that Drake has gotten of someone else's face over the years. His other tattoo subjects include late singer Aliyah, his parents, his grandmother and his late uncle.
His Wayne tattoo replicates a photo that the "Lollipop" took during a 2011 photoshoot with Rolling Stone magazine.
