Hip-hop star Drake isn't proud of all the headlines he's made for his feud with rap rival Meek Mill — nor does he understand why he was recently called out by Kanye West.

The Canadian rapper opened up about both disharmonious incidents in a new interview with DJ Semtex on Beats 1's OVO Sound Radio, during which he explained why he wasn't happy about his nearly two-years-long acrimony with Mill.

"It's not something that I'm proud of because it took just as much of an emotional toll on me — maybe not as much as it did on him... but you always gotta hear about it," Drake said.

"Just seeing people get so riled up on negativity, it didn’t feel great," he continued.

His contentious war of words with the Philadelphia-born rapper began in 2015, after Mill suggested Drake doesn't write his own lyrics and instead uses a ghostwriter.

The two rappers waged a lyrical battle shortly after, with Drake releasing two diss tracks - "Charged Up" and the wildly popular "Back to Back" - about his nemesis. Drake then dissed Mill again while onstage at his Philadelphia show last summer.

Drake, meanwhile, became the subject of one of West's mid-show rants in November, when the "Famous" rapper opined that Drake and DJ Khaled are overplayed on the radio when other artists like Frank Ocean deserve air time too.

The "Headlines" rapper reacted to West's tirade during Saturday's interview as well, saying he chose to distance himself from that situation.

"I'm not really sure what he's referring to half the time because, in the same breath, I went from working on a project with him to him sort of, like, publicly s--ting on me and DJ Khaled for being on the radio too much," Drake said.

"If that's what it is, I don't even really understand the point you're trying to make, but whatever it is that you're going through, I accept it. I don't respect it at all," he continued. “Me and Khaled are both just, like, good people. I'm not really sure why we're the target of your choice that you made that night. But again, I accept what you're going through."

n the wide-ranging interview, Drake also said he doesn't understand why he won two Grammys for best rap song and best rap/sung performance for "Hotline Bling," since the hit pop song isn't a rap track.

"Maybe because I've rapped in the past or because I'm black," he said. "I can't figure out why.

“I won two awards, but I don't even want them because it just feels weird for some reason."
