Started from the bottom ... now he has his fourth album
Rapper Drake released his long awaited new album, “Views,” at midnight on Friday via iTunes and Apple Music.
"Views now available on Twitter," he tweeted to fan's excitement.
Among the 17 tracks of the album are the 29-year-old’s hits “Hotline Bling,” “One Dance” and “Pop Style” — the latter of which features Jay-Z and Kanye West, credited as “Throne.”
Noticeably absent was the recently released “Summer Sixteen” track, which debuted in January. The single's absence is confusing as it is the name of his upcoming summer tour with rapper Future.
The release of "Views" has been a two-year wait for fans, who last bought his third album, “Nothing was the Same,” in 2014.
The long-gestating follow-up — then titled “Views From the 6” — was put on hold as the hit maker released unofficial singles and two mixtapes.
He also hit the charts as a featured artist on Rihanna's "Work."
The title and album art of his latest work is a tribute to the singer’s home of Toronto and the original title was a reference to the six small cities that once made up the Canadian city.
The album’s image is a Photoshopped shot of the CN Tower, with Drake sitting on top of the landmark.
"To the city I love and the people in it ... Thank you for everything," he tweeted days ago when he shared the cover art.
