In the wake of the release of the explosive documentary “Leaving Neverland,” Drake appears to have dropped his Michael Jackson-sampling song “Don’t Matter to Me” from performances.
The rapper skipped the song while performing the first show of his “Assassination Vacation” European tour in Manchester, England, on Sunday, according to the website setlist.fm. This despite the song being a feature of the Canadian’s sets during a recent tour of North America.
The song, which was included on Drake’s last album, “Scorpion, features a sample of Jackson’s vocals from a previously unreleased 1983 recording session.
While the song was not released in the US as a single, it was in Europe where it charted in multiple countries.
While Drake has yet to officially comment on the song’s omission from his new tour’s setlist, its omission comes just weeks after the release of HBO’s controversial “Leaving Neverland” documentary, in which Wade Robson and James Safechuck accused the late singer of molesting them when they were young boys.
