Doja Cat's Father Claims Daughter Is 'Brainwashed Her American Mother Poisoned Her Against Him

Doja Cat’s father has publicly addressed the status of his relationship with his daughter, arguing that she has been “brainwashed” by her mother. Doja’s father, actor and dancer Dumisani Dlamini, appeared to respond to the Vie artist’s recent claim of having difficulty connecting with him while her world tour was in South Africa. As Dlamini sees it, he’s “worked so hard” to build his name and reputation. He cited his work in the 1992 film Sarafina! as an example, ultimately alleging that the characterization of him as “not a good man” isn’t accurate. “Today, I want to tell the world that I'm not gonna be used by a white woman with three kids that I was feeding those kids with the money of Sarafina!,” Dlamini said, “And my name and my reputation as a good man, I love my kids. I took care of her kids, [Doja’s mother] Deborah [Sawyer]. Three kids, white kids, they hated me. And on top of that, I spoke to Deborah that I would love you to come home, and she came home. She met my family. But no one ever talks about that. Dlamini continued: “And today, just because I gave birth to a superstar with money, and then it happened that white woman brainwashed my baby that I left her. I never left my kid. And everyone saw it. She played the cards because of the influence of her mother. She came to South Africa. She's got power to see me, and she faked it. Please don't hate my baby. Doja told fans she trolled her father by sending him a gay porn link in lieu of a ticket to a Tour Ma Vie show. As the Grammy winner explained at the time, she had been speaking with her father over text but had been told that he “couldn’t make it to my show because I don’t message him enough and I didn’t call him on WhatsApp. Doja added that her father had told her he was “very busy” and would relay the trollingly delivered link to his management team. “He said, ‘Darling, what is this?
