DMX Producer Hasn’t Been Paid Royalties For A Decade

A famed hip-hop producer for DMX claims he hasn’t been paid royalties in nearly a decade.

Michael Gomez, who worked under the name DJ Shok with the Yonkers-based Ruff Ryders on Grammy-nominated DMX records like 1999’s “. . . And then there was X,” says in a suit he’s been trying to get the funds since at least 2013.

Gomez claims in his Manhattan Supreme Court papers that royalties were forwarded to the Ruff Ryders, but haven’t been sent to him.
