Diddy And DJ Khaled To Judge New TV Singing Competition Series

Fox is singing in a new era with some big-name stars on its latest vocal competition series.

Diddy and DJ Khaled will make up half of the network's newest show "The Four," TMZ reported. Their names were originally floated as potential fits on the series late last month by the gossip website.

Fox is reportedly planning to fill out the remainder of its four-person judging panel with a major artist and an executive within the music realm.

The exec could be Charlie Walk, a veteran of the industry who has served as president of Sony Music and Republic Records. He was recently offered a spot on the show, according to TMZ, though it's unclear if he'll accept.

Fox is reportedly eyeing Fergie, Meghan Trainer and Bebe Rexha as its finalists for the other spot.

The new series is slated to premiere in January and will focus on pop and hip-hip artists, according to TMZ.

The series is set to launch slightly ahead of ABC's revival of "American Idol," which has a March 11 premiere date.

The first 15 seasons of "American Idol" aired on Fox, but ABC won a bidding war earlier this year for the rights to the program.

Ryan Seacrest will return to host "Idol" with a brand new panel of judges made up of Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan.
