Denzel Washington doesn’t care about the Oscars and similar accolades because that wasn’t why he became an actor. During a recent interview with the veteran actor and two-time Oscar winner admitted, “I don’t do it for Oscars. Washington doubled down on the sentiment, adding, “I don’t care about that kind of stuff. I’ve been at this a long time, and there’s time when I won and shouldn’t have won and then didn’t win and should’ve won. Man gives the award. God gives the reward. The 70-year-old confessed that he’s “not that interested in Oscars,” despite often being asked by people on the location of his Oscars. “People ask me, ‘Where do I keep it?’ Well, next to the other one. I’m not bragging! Just telling you how I feel about it. On my last day, [Oscars] aren’t going to do me a bit of good,” he said matter-of-factly, noting that those Oscars won”t help get him into heaven. Washington quipped, “[As] long as [God] says, ‘Now, get on up here,’ I’m alright.” The 70-year-old confessed that he’s “not that interested in Oscars,” despite often being asked by people on the location of his Oscars. “People ask me, ‘Where do I keep it?’ Well, next to the other one.
