A passerby made a grisly discovery in Harlem Wednesday morning -- the body of a dead woman stuffed inside a suitcase, police said.
The body was found around 12:15 a.m. on the sidewalk on E. 114th St., across the street from Thomas Jefferson Park. The passerby spotted a leg sticking out of the luggage.
Police haven't released the woman's identity. She had a head injury, but authorities said the medical examiner's office would determine the cause of death.
Police said the woman had her clothes on and was thought to be black and in her 20s or 30s.
Cops ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS. All calls are confidential.
