IN THE STREETS & ON THE WEB

With the Grammy weekend festivities finally dying down and everyone just now getting a chance to release interviews from the red carpets, and other various locations, Bossip got chance to catch up with Dawn Richard from Danity Kane and Dirty-Money, where she revealed that she is no longer an artist of Bad Boy Records.

“Diddy has been very supportive of my journey. He (actually recently) let me go from Bad Boy. And he didn’t have to do that. He could have just been how everyone accuses him of being (and kept me bound by contract). There’s no drama. It was a business decision and one made amicably. And I thank him for that.”

“Now I want to make him and them (Bad Boy) proud for believing in me.”

It has been some time since we all witnessed the break up of Danity Kane and the surprising but short-lived success of Dirty-Money. As Diddy ventures off into new projects, we find comfort in knowing that Dawn will be able to flourish into the true artists she is.
