"Jersey Shore" tough guy Ronnie Ortiz-Magro has been hit with assault charges over the infamous "one shot" fight during season one of the MTV reality show. The Bronx native was charged with throwing one punch in the face of Stephen Izzo during a night of boozing at a local club. Izzo, a fellow partier but not a cast member, was knocked unconscious. A grand jury in Ocean County ruled Ortiz-Magro caused "significant bodily injury" to Izzo on the night of Sept. 4, 2009. He was charged Thursday with one count of third degree aggravated assault. A spokesman for MTV told TMZ.com the charge "comes as a complete shock to us." "As far as we know, our attorneys have been in contact with the prosecutors office, and we are waiting to see the documents," the spokesman said. He's not the first castmember of the hit show to run afoul of the law - or even the second. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi pleaded guilty in September to a misdemeanor charge of disturbing beachgoers and apologized for a tequilla-fueled tirade on a Seaside Heights beach in July. And in December, Angelina Pivarnick was accused of roughing up a woman who tried to photograph her inside an Atlantic City casino.
