Rapper Jim Jones was arrested on Monday — his second collar in three days and the second time in less than a year he was pinched for driving with a suspended license in Manhattan.
Jones, 35, was busted in his old uptown stomping grounds, riding in a black Audi sedan, police said.
The “We Fly High” emcee was collared by NYPD officers in front of the Grant Houses in Harlem, on W. 125th St. near Amsterdam Ave., police said. The arrest was first reported by TMZ.com.
Jones’ New Jersey license is suspended, police told the Daily News. He was issued a desk appearance ticket and released shortly after the 3:20 p.m. collar.
At 6:45 p.m., the rapper tweeted: “Back on these streets #vampin I love my city.”
It was the second time in three days that Jones found himself in handcuffs. On Friday, he was nabbed at the Foxwoods Resort Casino in Connecticut after a brawl broke out at a Diddy party. He was hit with charges for resisting arrest and breach of the peace after allegedly assaulting an officer, according to published reports.
Last March, the “Pop Champagne” star was busted for driving with a suspended license after police spotted him rolling in a 2011 Bentley in a bus lane in SoHo. He pleaded guilty to that rap, and paid $280 in fines and court fees, records show.
In that case, Jones’ lawyer said the rapper wasn’t aware that his license was suspended for failure to pay tickets.
Can somebody please tellhe's hot right now
