Dak Prescott And Sarah Jane Ramos Reach Temporary Custody Agreement

Dak Prescott and Sarah Jane Ramos have reached a temporary custody agreement for their two daughters, avoiding what would have been their first court appearance since the end of their engagement the former couple finalized the arrangement on April 15, one day before they had been scheduled to appear in court in Collin County, Texas. Court records show the hearing was canceled after both sides agreed to settle the matter privately. Prescott and Ramos share daughters Margaret Jane Rose, 2, and Aurora Rayne, 10 months. In the filing, he requested that both parents be named joint managing conservators, arguing that the arrangement would be “in the best interest of the children.” Prescott’s attorney, Levi McCathern, said the new agreement reflects that same goal. “This agreement is a positive step forward and reflects the commitment Dak has to raising their daughters in a healthy, supportive environment,” McCathern said in a statement. “We’re pleased this was resolved amicably and outside of the courtroom.” Ramos’ legal team had previously signaled that she wanted the matter handled privately as well. Earlier this month, her attorney, Raymond Rafool, said both sides had agreed to postpone an earlier hearing to try to work through their issues without court intervention. He added that Ramos believed the approach was “in the children’s best interest” and described her as “a mother first.” The temporary arrangement includes shared custody terms and restrictions on taking the children out of Texas without the other parent’s written approval. Court filings also reportedly included language requiring both Prescott and Ramos to avoid using “vulgar, profane, obscene or indecent” language when communicating with each other.
