DaBaby Honors Older Brother After Apparent Suicide

DaBaby paid tribute to his older brother who reportedly died by suicide on Tuesday.

The 28-year-old rapper changed his Instagram bio to read “LONG LIVE MY BROTHER” and added black heart and dove emojis. On his Instagram Story, the “Baby” rapper posted a video of himself spending time with his niece and also included a snippet from his song “Intro” that talks about his brother’s struggles.

“My brother be thinkin’ that we don’t love him and let him struggle like we ain’t family / Like I won’t give up all I got to see you happy,” the lyrics read.

Glenn Johnson reportedly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound just hours after he shared an unsettling video to social media that showed him visibly upset and crying. He also had a gun with him in the clip.

Johnson is survived by three daughters and a son.
