Cynthia Erivo Says Her Dream Role Is To Play ‘X-Men’ Role Of Storm In The MCU

Cynthia Erivo while speaking to the National Board of Review, who praised her recent portrayal of Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West) in Wicked. When asked which role she would love to take on next, without hesitation, she named Ororo Munroe a.k.a Storm—emphasizing her admiration for the character’s complexity. “I really want to play Storm,” she shared. “I know it sounds frivolous, but I don’t think we’ve uncovered how grand she is and all of the inner turmoil that she has. So I think there’s a world in which we could do something like that. Erivo’s bid for the role comes as the MCU is gearing up to introduce the X-Men since Disney’s acquiring of Marvel Entertainment in 2009.
