COPS SAY FABOLOUS IS NOT NAMED AS A SUSPECT EVEN THOUGH G-BABY GOT GUNNED DOWN IN FRONT OF FAB'S CAR!

The survivor of a Queens shooting that left an up-and-coming rapper dead says the slaying - which happened feet away from hip-hop star Fabolous - looked like an assassination.
The 24-year-old Queens man, who asked for his name to be withheld out of fear for his safety, said he walked out of Club Amazura with pal Greg (G-Baby) Brown while eying Fabolous' luxury van on Archer Ave. in Jamaica, Queens.

Then the sound of gunfire came out of nowhere.

"There was a whole bunch of people on the corner, like 10 people," he said, recalling the unsolved shooting last March that left him with a wound in his thigh and G-Baby dead with three bullets in his back.

"G-Baby was next to me. When I turned around, I got hit. I heard four shots. G-Baby ran. They started shooting at him. They were targeting him," he said.

Cops believe the rapper was the intended target, sources said.

The street was packed with partygoers and cops, leaving the wounded man wondering how the gunman got away without a trace.

"A regular person couldn't pull that off," he said, adding that he didn't see the shooter.

G-Baby collapsed in front of Fabolous' van, police said.

Club bouncers moved G-Baby's body away so Fabolous, 32, and his entourage could drive away, sources said.

G-Baby was pronounced dead at Jamaica Hospital. The wounded man said he drove himself to Jamaica Hospital.

Police and G-Baby's family said the 22-year-old rapper had a longstanding beef with Fabolous. Cops have not interviewed Fabolous, whose real name is John Jackson, and have not named him as a suspect.
