Lil Wayne may rap that he's "Got Money" — but he certainly owes a lot of it, too.
Police entered the hip hop star's Miami Beach mansion Tuesday to seize property on a judge's orders, TMZ is reporting, because the rapper owes more than $2 million to a private jet leasing company called Signature Group.
The "Lollipop" artist lost a lawsuit to Signature Group in September, in which the company claimed he had stopped paying his $55,000 per month lease.
But Lil Wayne hasn't paid the company back yet, forcing authorities to intervene by entering his home and confiscating some of his assets.
Police officers were originally denied entry by security guards at the rapper's manor, but TMZ reports authorities presented a court order giving them the right to break the locks to get into the home.
It's unknown if officers were forced to take that measure, but they eventually gained entry. Miami news station Sky 10 reports a series of items — including what appeared to be wrapped artwork — were carried from the rapper's home to a large truck.
Lil Wayne, who also owes an additional $200,000 in legal fees from the lawsuit, wasn't in Miami when police arrived. He was last seen at a Los Angeles strip club on Monday night, according to TMZ.
Should the rapper eventually decide to pay back the jet company, he'll certainly have the funds to do so. He's worth $150 million, according to the Celebrity Net Worth website.
