COPS FIND 8 KILOS OF COKE STASHED IN THE OVEN!

The heat is on a pair of drug traffickers who hid pounds of cocaine behind the oven of their Queens stash house, officials said Monday.

Wilmar Florez-Jimenez, 30, who lives in the home, and Alvaro Montoya, 51, of Elizabeth, N.J., were arraigned Monday in Manhattan Supreme Court on charges of drug possession and using drug paraphernalia, officials said.

Cops found more than 18 pounds of cocaine behind the oven and in a dresser drawer in the apartment at 30-15 81st St. in Jackson Heights. They also found $70,000 in cash.

A special investigation unit of the State Police monitoring the home saw Montoya load a plastic garbage bag into a red Chevy Envoy SUV and drive away about 1:20 p.m on May 14.

Cops pulled him over and found a hollowed-out tire in the bag with towels and plastic tie wraps hidden inside, which police believed was to be used for hiding large quantities of drugs.

About half a pound of cocaine was later found in the seized SUV.

Florez-Jimenez was arrested later that day after he left the apartment with a small amount of cocaine.

Cops searched the apartment and found more than six kilos of cocaine in a hidden compartment in a dresser drawer with a false back, officials said. Two kilos of cocaine were stashed behind the oven.

They also found a slew of drugpackaging equipment scattered throughout the home, including a digital scale, a steel press, grinders, respirators, knives and razors. Additional small quantities of cocaine were in plain sight around the apartment, according to prosecutors.

Investigators, who began monitoring the duo after they were spotted selling drugs near the apartment, seized financial records, computer equipment and cell phones from the alleged drug den.

“This cocaine was well hidden,” Montoya’s lawyer Philip Rauch argued in court Monday. “There is no proof that he knew the cocaine was there.”

Judge Laura Ward ordered Montoya held on $30,000 bond and Florez-Jimenez held on $100,000 bond. Both pleaded not guilty.

Each faces a minimum of eight years in prison if convicted.
