Common Says Ex Serena Williams Will Be Back After Baby

Common has nothing but positive things to say about his ex-girlfriend Serena Williams.

When asked whether she’ll return to tennis after giving birth, he told TMZ, “She’s a champion, you know she will.”

He also called the 35-year-old, “the greatest tennis player to ever play, one of the greatest athletes to ever do it.”

Williams, who is expecting her first child with fiancé Alexis Ohanian, announced in April that she is taking time off from tennis for the remainder of the year. Williams’ spokeswoman said the athlete will return for the 2018 season.

Common and Williams dated from 2008 from 2015, but there’s been no bad blood since their split. Page Six previously reported that the two were seen out to dinner in November. A source close to the stars said at the time that, “they are, and have been, good friends.”
