C'MON SON! YOU CANT GO TO JAIL FOR DENTAL REASONS BUT CAN SING ON WE ARE WORLD! C'MON SON!

Call it a lil' swan song.

Rapper Lil Wayne got a bye from the big house to have dental work done but still managed to pop up in a remake of "We Are the World" that debuted Friday during the opening ceremonies of the Vancouver Olympics.

A Manhattan judge agreed on Tuesday to delay the "Lollipop" rapper's sentencing until March 2 so he can go to Miami for what his lawyer, Stacey Richman, described as oral surgery.

Richman said the recording was made Monday night - a day before his initial surrender date.

"He wasn't supposed to be in jail on Monday," she said of the 27-year-old New Orleans native. "His surrender date was on the 9th and the video was shot on the 8th. That's totally appropriate."

Wayne, whose real name is Dwayne Carter Jr., was slapped with a felony rap after cops found a loaded .40-caliber semi-automatic weapon on his tour bus in 1997.

The Grammy winner pleaded guilty to a lesser charge and agreed to serve a year in Rikers, avoiding a longer stay.

Some corners of the Internet were abuzz over Wayne's appearance in the "We Are the World" video.

A Twitter poster with the handle Baigey13 asked, "What is lil wayne the weapon possesser doing in the new we are the world song?!"

Another, michaelroberts2, wrote, "Isn't he in jail?"

Organizers said proceeds from the new video would be donated to Haiti.
