Ciara Swears Russell Wilson Is Cool

Ciara isn’t going to sit back quietly while someone calls her man a “corny dude” and a “square.”

The “Level Up” singer, 32, came to the defense of husband Russell Wilson on Instagram over the weekend, letting the world know that she thinks the NFL star is cool.

“Cool is in the eye of the beholder. What are some qualities you see as COOL?” she wrote alongside a list of 11 attributes she believes make a man cool.

Among the characteristics listed were fearing God, understanding the importance of fiscal responsibility and seeing the beauty in one’s partner’s scars.

The post comes just days after rapper Slim Thug called Wilson a “corny dude” in an interview.

Last Wednesday on Houston radio station 97.9 The Box, the emcee was asked about the singer’s marriage to the football player, and said, “Do a woman who used to talk to Future really want a Russell Wilson? I don’t believe it. I think it’s all for financial stability.”

Thug added, “He’s just a corny dude, ain’t nothing wrong with it. I ain’t gonna say corny cause that’s hatin’ but he’s just like a square … I don’t believe a girl coming from a street dude could even adapt to that.”

Before marrying Wilson, Ciara was engaged to rapper Future, someone who Thug made clear he feels is “cool.”

Ciara and Wilson married in July 2016. They have a 1-year-old daughter, Sienna, together.

The singer also has a son, 4-year-old Future Zahir Wilburn, from her relationship with the rapper.
