Fans of R&B star Ciara will apparently have to wait a few more months to pick up her next record. Ciara’s “Basic Instinct” album has been pushed back to October. The record was scheduled for an August 17th debut. There is no official word on why “Basic Instinct” is being delayed, but insiders believe additional recordings could be to blame. “Basic Instinct’s” first single, “Ride,” has wasted little time generating headlines. The video for the song was banned from BET due to its sexual nature, and MTV has chosen not to air the clip before 9:00 p.m.
Ciara’s last release was 2009’s “Fantasy Ride.” The record opened at number three on the Billboard 200 thanks to singles like “Love Sex Magic,” “Never Ever,” and “Work.”
