The manager who claims Chris Brown sucker punched him last month in a vicious beatdown now says the singer is lying to cover his tracks.
Michael Guirguis filed an amended lawsuit Friday adding a defamation claim to the blockbuster assault and battery suit he filed Thursday, saying Brown "maliciously" branded him a thief in damaging videos posted online.
"Brown knew his statements were false at the time he made them," the updated paperwork obtained by the Daily News states.
"Mike G has never stolen money from Brown. In fact, Mike G does not have, and never has had, access to Brown's money," the filing alleges. "Any and all payments to (Guirguis' company) NiteVision were personally approved by Brown."
Guirguis also disputes Brown's claim he was canned.
"At the time Brown made his defamatory Instagram posts, Brown had not terminated the agreement and had not fired either Mike G or NiteVision," the new complaint prepared by Guirguis' lawyers at Glaser Weil in Los Angeles reads.
It says Guirguis has a clause in his contract that requires 30 days written notice of termination, and that no such notice had been given before Brown posted his videos.
"Sadly, Chris Brown is once again lashing out against those who were closest to him and is refusing to accept responsibility for his actions," Guirguis' lawyer Patty Glaser said in a statement Friday.
"Making up false claims against Mike G to deflect attention away from his continued violent behavior is shameful. We are looking forward to our day in court when Chris Brown will be held accountable," she said.
In his profanity-laced videos posted late Thursday, Brown took aim at Guirguis and his lawsuit without calling the manager out by name.
"OK, you knew it was coming... N----s is getting mad and filing lawsuits because I fired them because they're stealing money!" he said in the video. "You're stealing money, pal. So, you're mad because you're no longer existent. It's all right. I'm going to keep pushing," Brown said.
The battle exploded when Guirguis filed his original claim in Los Angeles early Thursday claiming Brown, 27, pounced on him without provocation during a meeting behind closed doors on May 10.
Guirguis alleges Brown led him to a private room at Show Biz Studios in Van Nuys, Calif., closed the door and "menacingly" said, "We're going to go for thirty seconds."
"Mike G thought Brown must have been kidding around — that is until Brown sucker punched him in the face as he tried to exit the room," the lawsuit states. "Stunned and confused, Mike G began to fall backwards, at which time Brown punched him three more times in the face and neck."
Guirguis says the attack landed him in the hospital with serious injuries including "air pockets in his jaw from the punches."
The manager claims Brown was high on drugs during the attack and that the signer's violent outbursts — including his 2009 assault on Rihanna — have made it "impossible" for him to continue working for the singer.
He's asking for general and punitive damages and money to cover his hospital expenses.
Brown, meanwhile, just finished a European tour and has new concert dates in Croatia and Indonesia coming up next month.
