Chris Brown Out Of Rehab For Anger Management

Chris Brown is out of rehab — after two weeks.

The 24-year-old “No Bulls---” singer left his inpatient facility so he can chip away at the 1,000 hours of community labor handed down last August in his Rihanna assault case, his lawyer Mark Geragos told the Daily News on Thursday.

“Chris is continuing his rehab program as an outpatient,” Geragos said in a statement to The News. “He appreciates all of your encouragement and support.”

Brown voluntarily checked into an unidentified rehab facility Oct. 29 to seek help for his anger issues after an alleged street scuffle in Washington landed him in jail.

“We talked today, and he said, ‘I want to take some time and do a little introspection and understand everything that’s going on around me,’ ” Geragos told The News shortly after dropping Brown off for treatment last month.


“It was his decision, and he should be applauded,” Geragos said

The lawyer maintained Brown’s innocence in the spat near the White House, saying the rehab was not an admission of any “facts” in the case. Brown has pleaded not guilty to a reduced misdemeanor charge in the nation’s capital and denies that he broke a man’s nose in a fight over a fan photo.

“Maybe sitting in a jail cell for 36 hours for something you didn’t do is enough to rock you a bit,” Geragos told The News.

The October incident was the latest in a string of alleged violent outbursts from Brown. In 2009, he was convicted of felony assault and placed on probation for beating his girlfriend at the time, the pop star Rihanna.

Brown allegedly took part in a 2012 Manhattan nightclub brawl involving the rapper Drake and got into a fight with singer Frank Ocean at a West Hollywood recording studio last January.

The “Forever” singer was sued in July by a California woman who claimed he assaulted her at a nightclub last June. Brown is countersuing, saying the woman, who was reportedly drunk at the time, fabricated her story.

The singer is due in court for a progress report on his Rihanna probation next Wednesday and could face more jail time if the judge decides his actions in the D.C. brawl violated his plea deal.
