Abe Diaw, the music producer who accused Brown of brutally assaulting him with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 at London’s Tape nightclub back in February 2023, has officially dropped his lawsuit. Diaw requested the case be dismissed with prejudice, meaning this won’t be a situation where he can change his mind about the decision later. Most cases dismissed with prejudice usually suggest that a settlement was reached. However, neither Chris nor Diaw have confirmed if any money was exchanged. Diaw’s original claim alleged that Brown hit him multiple times with the tequila bottle and stomped him out, leaving him temporarily unconscious and severely injured. Though the civil case has now been tossed, reportedly, the criminal charges in the U.K. are still very much alive and well Brown was arrested on May 15 at a Manchester hotel right before embarking on his anniversary tour. Hit with several charges, Brown faced “causing grievous bodily harm with intent, assault causing bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon. Upon his arrest, things initially looked rocky as he was denied bail. However, by May 21, Breezy secured a bond and posted a hefty $6,750,000 to the courts for his release.
