Chris Brown got an unwanted birthday present Friday from ex-girlfriend Karrueche Tran.
The "Run It!" singer was served with Tran's domestic violence restraining order outside a Houston nightclub, her lawyer confirmed to the Daily News.
"Chris Brown has been served and we will see him in court," lawyer Patrick Blood said.
"The allegations made under the original restraining order are still maintained and we look forward to getting to the merits, which up until now we haven't been able to do."
Brown, who turned 28 Friday, has been traveling on tour and declined to let his law firm accept the documents on his behalf. That led Tran's team to hire a private server to hunt him down.
Tran, a 28-year-old model, claims Brown punched her in the stomach twice and pushed her downstairs during the course of their relationship. She also alleges Brown threatened to kill her.
The couple dated on and off between 2011 and 2015.
"He told a few people that he was going to kill me," she said in a statement to the court. "He said if no one else can have me, then he's gonna 'take me out.'"
They broke up for good after it was revealed he had a child with another model, Nia Guzman.
Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault of ex-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009 and was subsequently ordered to attend an anger management rehabilitation center.
While touring in Tampa last month he was accused of punching a photographer in the face at a nightclub.
The venue, AJA Channelside, said on Facebook it was pursuing charges.
"Incidents like the ones caused by Chris Brown and his team are very sad to see. As everyone witnessed he showed up to the club at around 1:30am. After only a few minutes of being there, Chris Brown himself and his team assaulted our club photographer and proceeded to walk out," the venue said.
"Assault charges were pressed and we are dealing with the proper authorities accordingly.”
