Chloe Bailey is set to star opposite Russell Crowe as Blake Holloway in The Exorcism, marking this as her horror film debut. Not to be confused with the 1973 classic, The Exorcist, the film within a film centers around Anthony Miller (Crowe), a troubled actor who starts to unravel while shooting a supernatural horror film as his estranged daughter, Lee (Ryan Simpkins), contemplates if he’s relapsed or if there’s something far more sinister afoot. In the trailer, Bailey is seen getting covered in sage smoke as Lee questioned her choices. “Have you forgotten what kinda movie we’re making,” Bailey fires back. “All kinds of messed up stuff happened when they were making movies like The Omen or The Exorcist,” she continues before hinting that some tragic happened with the actor who Crowe’s character replaced. Director Joshua John Miller said the film stemmed from seeing his father Jason Miller toss himself out of a window as Father Karras in the climax of The Exorcist.
