Chief Keef Charged With DUI In Miami Beach After Cops Find Him With Cup Of Sizzurp

Chief Keef was arrested in Miami Beach Saturday and charged with a DUI after cops found him nursing a cup of sizzurp, also known as Purple Drank, the Daily News confirmed.

Keef, 21, originally born Keith Cozart, first drew the cops' attention after a passenger in the green McLaren he was driving exited the car and struck up a conversation with the occupants of the vehicle behind it and handed them a bag "with a green leafy substance," according to an arrest affidavit.

After police arrested Keef's passengers, they noticed he had "bloodshot watery droopy eyes and mush mouth," and was in possession of sizzurp, a mixture of codeine-based prescription cough syrup, soda and Jolly Ranchers.

Keef told the officers, "When you find weed in my urine, I'll just get my attorney to get my marijuana card," and, "You'll find weed in me."

The Chicago-born rapper first rose to fame in 2011 with two self-released mixtapes, "The Glory Road" and "Bang." Since then, he's released numerous mixtapes and studio albums following a 2013 record deal with Interscope, most recently 2015's "Bang 3, Part 2."

His DUI is just the latest on the star's growing rap sheet. Keef has a string of drug arrests stretching back to 2011, three charges of aggravated assault with a firearm on a police officer from 2011, and numerous probation violations. In June 2014, he was evicted from his home in the Chicago suburbs, though he currently lives in Beverly Hills.
