Chance the Rapper marched a mob of chanting voters to the polls after headlining a concert in his native Chicago.
The pied piper led droves of fans shuffling nearly a mile through rush-hour traffic to an early voting site after his "Parade to the Polls" concert in Grant Park on Monday night.
Security guards corralled the crowd shouting disparaging words about Republican nominee Donald Trump to a line that was already stretching four blocks. The get-out-the-vote effort followed a performance sponsored by Chance's nonprofit group Social Works.
Chance, who endorsed Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton in early October, casted his ballot at the polling site.
Officials said anyone in line by 7 p.m. local time would be allowed to vote.
Illinois' State Board of Elections says nearly 1.3 million people cast in-person early ballots through Sunday, surpassing turnout in previous presidential contests.
