Cee Lo Green Could Face Prosecution In Alleged Sexual Battery Case

Cee Lo Green could face prosecution for an alleged date rape crime.

A Los Angeles woman accused the "Voice" judge, 39, of spiking her drink after meeting him last year at a sushi restaurant, TMZ reported.

The unidentified woman alleged the "next thing" she remembered was waking up in a bedroom naked with Green, whose real name is Thomas DeCarlo Callaway, present in the room.

The woman also claimed to have recordings of the "Forget You" singer apologizing and making reference to MDMA, or ecstasy — per the gossip site.

The case against Green was initially submitted to the L.A. County District Attorney, but was shot down due to lack of evidence. TMZ reports police have been in the middle of re-investigating — including ordering up more toxicology tests and looking for more witnesses — and are expected to resubmit findings to the D.A. "late this week or the following."

Sources close to the Gnarls Barkley musician have shot down the claims, maintaining that the woman's allegations are false.

A lawyer for the R&B star previously said the woman only went to police after hiring a civil lawyer and getting shot down in her request for money.

Now, a TMZ law enforcement source says it's doubtful that the district attorney will have amassed enough evidence against Green for prosecution.
