Cardi B will co-host “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” on Monday, April 9. After chatting with host Fallon, and performing, in support of the April 6 debut of album “Invasion of Privacy,” she will stick around to interview the evening’s other guests with Fallon.
It’s the first time the show has named a “co-host,” NBC says.
It’s Cardi B’s third visit to Fallon’s NBC late-night show; she was on last year on Dec. 20 as a guest, and performed “No Limit” with G-Eazy in September.
The 2017 release of her single “Bodak Yellow” spent three weeks at No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, making it the first solo No. 1 by a female hip-hop artist in nearly two decades. She then became the first female rapper to land her first three entries in the chart’s top 10, and she surpassed Beyoncé as the first woman to have five top 10 singles simultaneously on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
