In a video message to announce her OnlyFans, Cardi said that not only will she pull back the curtain on the "WAP" shoot, but also the "whole process" or recording it, from the day before to the day she tried to do a "f--ing split" on a chair after doing zero stretching for five months beforehand. She put out a call to fans to tell her want they want to see, with the promise of some "private stuff" (again, no nudes), just straight up private stuff.

OnlyFans confirmed that Cardi had signed up, revealing her $4.99 a month page, which at press time had no posts yet, which made sense, since a short time later Cardi tweeted, "How the f--k I go live on onlyfans? Wtfff." The service, launched four year ago, has become popular among fans of adult film stars, with subscriber numbers reportedly skyrocketing during the COVID-19 lockdown.
