Bruno Mars isn't shy about his affinity for sex.
The "Locked Out of Heaven" crooner explains that the taboo topic "feels good to sing about" in the April issue of GQ magazine.
"It feels ... sexy," he’s quoted saying. "It puts you in a sexy frame of mind. It feels good to project. Sex is a great party starter."
Mars, 27, whose real name is Peter Hernandez, told the mag that his song "Locked Out of Heaven" is really about his favorite female body part, "in the most beautiful, passionate, sexy way ever."
Still on the topic, Mars discusses his song "Gorilla," and the discomfort even the first line of the lyrics creates for him.
"You don't think I knew the backlashes that might come with that song?" he wrote. "You know, like the first line is 'I got a body full of liquor with a cocaine kicker.'"
He alludes to the elephant in the room - his Las Vegas cocaine bust shortly after bursting on the pop scene with hit song “Just the Way You Are.”
In 2010 Mars was arrested in Sin City and subsequently charged with cocaine possession. The singer had to take education courses and perform community service in exchange for the case's dismissal.
"I was young, man! I was in f---ing Vegas," he tells GQ, "I wasn't thinking.”
“I was given a number one record and I'm out doing dumb sh--.”
Mars reportedly lied to authorities about having done cocaine before.
"I don't know where that came from," he said. "I was really intoxicated. I was really drunk. So a lot of that is a big blur, and I try every day to forget and keep pushing."
Though his smiling mugshot from the incident will forever be associated with his story, the chart-topping singer-songwriter is widely heralded for his latest album, “Unorthodox Jukebox,” and slew of hit records he's produced with his group - The Smeezingtons - for other artists like Cee Lo Green and B.o.B.
Wassup with these ni**as pants? I mean what do you call those?
