BROOKLYN MAN TAKES THE STAND & TELLS THE JURORS HOW A NYPD COP SODOMIZED HIM!

A Brooklyn man who prosecutors say was sodomized by an NYPD cop withstood a grueling cross-examination Monday after graphically telling jurors how he was assaulted.
Michael Mineo, 25, started out cool - his beard neatly trimmed and his tattoos mostly covered - as he told jurors how Officer Richard Kern allegedly had attacked him as he was arrested on a subway platform on Oct. 15, 2008.

"I felt a hard object being forced into [me]," Mineo calmly told jurors. "It was something I never felt before. It was a pain, a pain. I was disoriented. It was a white light. ..."

But the star witness flashed anger when defense lawyer Stuart London asked about the differences between the story he first told investigators and the account he gave jurors in Brooklyn Supreme Court yesterday.

"I just had something put inside of me. I was in shock, okay?" he shot back, raising his voice as he explained that he also was on heavy pain medication when he named the wrong officer as his assailant.

"What happened to me, happened to me, I'm not making this up," he said.

Mineo earlier admitted a long arrest record - seven arrests for marijuana, another for gang assault in the tattoo parlor where he worked, and others for stolen credit cards and identity theft.

He also acknowledged he had been a gang member - "I'm a Crip," he matter-of-factly told prosecutor Charles Guria, even raising his shirt to show his gang tattoos.

Mineo admitted that he ran from cops onto the Prospect Park subway platform after being stopped for smoking marijuana because he thought he would be arrested for open warrants and not carrying identification.

But he later grew incensed when London quizzed him on his $440 million civil lawsuit over the alleged attack and whether he had concocted his story.

"This is your payday, isn't it? This is your Lotto," London asked.

"No, this is justice because something was stuck in [me] by one of those cops over there," Mineo shot back, leaning from the witness box as he pointed at Kern, Andrew Morales and Alex Cruz.

Kern, charged with the assault and facing 25 years, and Morales and Cruz, charged with a cover-up and facing four years each, glared at Mineo.

Earlier, during direct testimony, Mineo said that during the attack, "I said [to Cruz], 'Did you stick something in [me]?' and he replied, 'You liked it, you f----t.' "

At one point, Mineo startled the packed courtroom as he yelled to show how he repeatedly had shouted to passersby to let them know what had happened.

"Every person who passed by, I was screaming for help," he said, shouting into a court microphone: "I was like, 'Help me!' "

Cross-examination continues Tuesday.
